Chew Medical Practice choose Chew Valley Gas and Oil to manage the heating system in the new surgery, a few years ago. We were looking for a company who had experience of working with complicated commercial systems, and Neil seemed to fill the bill perfectly. We wanted to use a local trader who would be responsive whenever anything went wrong, as it is very important to keep heating and hot water running at all times in the surgery. Neil has been fantastic – he usually calls in within a few hours, and has sorted out problems for us very quickly and efficiently.

The most unusual problem he helped us with was the rescue of a young duckling last summer! Neil happened to be here when we were trying to rescue a baby that had fallen down a drain in the car park. Not only did he have a handy crowbar to lift the grating, but he even knew someone who would look after the duckling, and arranged for it to be collected from the surgery. That really was service with a smile!

Being in need of Plumber and having saved a flyer from Chew Valley Gas And Oil I decided to give Neil Smith a call.He responded very promptly to my message and advised me that he would be there the next day. We urgently required the repair of an electric water heater. Upon his examination he explained that it was not repairable and would need replacing. This he did within a couple of days. I was very happy with the price he charged and the job was completed very efficiently. Neil is a good clean, tidy worker and I would have no qualms about recommending him for any plumbing needs.

Having used Chew Valley Gas and Oil at my business Mendip Farm Butchers Limited, I had no hesitation about using them to carryout a full boiler service on our gas fired Worcester Boiler. A date was agreed and he carried out the work, and we have subsequently used Neil and the team and have always been very pleased with the work, the quotations and prices charged and we certainly have no concerns about leaving them at the property and to lock-up after themselves.

To sum up Chew Valley Gas and Oil (Neil) is a very competently run business, their work is of an extremely high standard, and we always find the area of their work left cleaner than when they started.

I have a property which had to be let to enable my mother to live in a residential home. Quick, quick need a plumber, Chew Valley Gas and Oil came to my rescue. New central heating system installed, new radiators, new pipe work required. Neil came, gave a quote, advised on boiler, number of radiators required etc. Price was agreed and the new system was installed and completed within 10 days of advised start date. Considering the mess, carpets up, floors up, and holes through walls etc!!, when upon completion I visited the property you would not have known they had been there, they had even vacuumed all the floors which saved me a job. I was extremely pleased and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

I continue to use them, for boiler servicing and gas safety certificate annually.

I cannot recommend Chew Valley Gas & Oil highly enough! The work they completed was to an excellent standard and our house was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. They arrived when they said they would, early in the morning; they worked extremely hard all day (and into the evening by agreement) and completed the work ahead of schedule. Neil and his team were a pleasure to have in our home; polite, courteous and very hardworking. Thanks guys."
